Our small class sizes allow us to give tailored and precise help to those that require it, fast track learning to pupils that seek further stimulation and a more nurturing and supported approach for all.
A typical week at Magdalen Court involves; appropriate literacy, maths and subject based teaching interwoven with cookery, art and craft, a forest school session or an adventure activity such as a walk on the moor with our loveable dogs, kayaking or a cycle ride.
The emphasis is on nurturing confidence and a true love of learning through fun, meaningful tasks. Our dynamic team of staff teach independence and encourage creative problem solving through a huge and varied timetable of activities and a flexible approach to the curriculum. The teachers enjoy working with small classes where they can make a notable difference to each child’s success and the whole school has a relaxed and happy atmosphere.
A child's first experience of school should focus on learning through play, building independence and nurturing a growth mindset
Our seniors learn at their own pace, building their knowledge, skills and resilience alongside a team of staff who respect their individuality.
All children love adventure and we believe that when children are having fun they are more open to learning.
