We are a small and friendly, mixed, non-selective independent school for children aged between 4 and 18 years. We excel in providing a supportive, family type environment and many of our teachers choose to educate their children here at Magdalen Court.
Our whole ethos is tailored to develop our children's confidence and as part of this we run an extensive outward bounds programme. We have small class sizes that allow a teacher to fully support each pupil and look for teachers skilled in differentiating tasks. Some of your class will be ahead of their peer group, whilst others have learning difficulties such as dyslexia. It is important that you have great communication skills as we work closely within our team and with parents. The school's friendly and relaxed atmosphere is maintained by our fantastic team of staff and we welcome teachers with a good sense of humour who are happy to contribute where they can to our wide range of extra-curricular events.
In return we offer a caring, school community, where staff are valued and substantial bursaries are given to members of staff for their children to attend and benefit from our small class sizes and attention to the individual.
We are currently entering a new phase with a new Senior Leadership team and have ambitious plans for the future with a collective desire to be the school of choice for Children and Young People with SEND in the Exeter area. We recently had a successful visit from Ofsted in September 2020 as part of our move towards Specialist Status.
