We’re happy to welcome pupils at any time of year, and encourage you to ring the School Office in the first instance, or to make enquiries through the on-line form below. They will then arrange a meeting for you with the Head Teacher, Mrs Wrightson, who will give you an overview of the school, find out about your children, explain in detail what Magdalen Court can do for your children and draw out some key teachers for you to meet and answer any questions you may have.
We encourage you to bring your children with you, as it's important they are as involved in the selection of a new school as you. We usually ask two pupils from their prospective class to show your child around the school and then if they feel confident enough, to join their class for part of a lesson and to go out to break with their two mentors. It gives them a terrific insight into our school and means that they will already know a few people when they come for a taster morning.
We think you will be impressed with what you hear and see. The next step is a free taster session. It can be a morning, a full day or a few days if you wish, or if your children are nervous. A couple of taster mornings are a lovely way for them to get used to us and settle into our wonderfully supportive school.
Once established at Magdalen Court, we get new students to sit a series of internal and external tests and along with their individual teacher assessments we draw up a very personal education plan to help them meet their full potential.
